Equity
Our shared passion for empathy, kindness, and positive change has motivated us to look deeply at our role in perpetuating systemic inequality.
Committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
PixelSpoke stands against all forms of oppression, including racism, transphobia, classism, sexism, ableism, and xenophobia. To make diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) a core focus in our company’s strategy, policies, and practices, we commit to taking focused and sustained action through:

Listening to the voices of Black, Brown, Indigenous, and marginalized peoples and prioritizing ongoing DEI trainings for our team.

Bringing more historically untapped people into our community and advocating for legislative change.

Supporting organizations that work toward expanding opportunity and creating a more just and equitable world.

“PixelSpoke has demonstrated a long-term commitment to intentionally engaging in racial equity training. They have created an environment of openness, curiosity, and accountability that authentically honors the diversity of lived experiences within the organization.”
Equity in action
Our Equity and Compensation Committees bring a DEI lens to our recruiting and hiring process, compensation structures, and company practices and policies.
We empower all team members to become co-owners of the company through our cooperative ownership structure.
We’re highly intentional about building a diverse hiring pipeline and ensuring that job applications from a wide range of backgrounds are brought into the fold.
Team member salaries are shared with all co-owners, and they are adjusted each year through a rigorous market-matching process.
We welcome job applicants without college degrees (our President doesn’t have one!) or applicants who have had contact with the criminal justice system.
We check in with all team members during weekly 1-1s, quarterly conversations, and annual journeys of transformation to ensure they feel included and heard.
We eliminated performance-based pay raises, recognizing that performance metrics are commonly impacted by implicit bias and internal politics.

By the numbers

Our all-team equity sessions

- The racial wealth gap and gender pay gap
- Reparations: history & current initiatives
- LGBTQ+ safe zones and trans inclusion
- Able-ism and ADA
- White supremacy culture characteristics
- Implicit bias
